In this tutorial, you will create one **Broadcast List** and add your own number.

**Time needed:** 10 minutes

## Before you start

Make sure:

- You are logged in to Wabot.
- You have a test phone number you can add.

> A **Broadcast List** is a recipient list for **Broadcast**. It is not a WhatsApp group. WhatsApp groups are under **Audience Hub → Groups**.

## 1. Open Broadcast Lists

On the left menu, open **Audience Hub**.

Click **Broadcast Lists**.

Click **Create**.

  <div class="doc-shot-ph-frame" role="img" aria-label="Broadcast Lists"><span class="doc-shot-ph-title">Broadcast Lists</span><span class="doc-shot-ph-hint">Screenshot reference</span></div>
</figure>

## 2. Name the list

On **List Details**, enter a name you will recognise.

**Example:** `VIP CUSTOMER`

You can add a short description. Click **Continue** to go to **Add Contacts**.

  <div class="doc-shot-ph-frame" role="img" aria-label="List Details"><span class="doc-shot-ph-title">List Details</span><span class="doc-shot-ph-hint">Screenshot reference</span></div>
</figure>

## 3. Add a number with Single Entry

Choose **Single Entry**.

Enter the phone number with the country code.

**Example:** `+60123024855`

Spaces and symbols are removed automatically. You can add an optional parameter such as `name`.

Click **Save Contact**.

  <div class="doc-shot-ph-frame" role="img" aria-label="Single Entry"><span class="doc-shot-ph-title">Single Entry</span><span class="doc-shot-ph-hint">Screenshot reference</span></div>
</figure>

## 4. Check the list

Open the new list.

Confirm your test number is there. The status may be **Unvalidated**, **Valid**, or **Invalid**.

**Unvalidated** can still be used in a Broadcast. It does not mean the number failed.

If you need to check numbers later, use **Validate**. Use **Delete Invalid** only when you are sure those rows should go.

</figure>

## Make sure it worked

This tutorial worked when:

- The list appears on **Broadcast Lists**.
- Your test number is inside the list.
- You did not send a Broadcast yet. This page only builds the list.

## If it didn’t work

### You have many numbers to paste

Choose **Bulk Paste**. Type one number per line. Use the country code, with no spaces. Click **Import Contacts**.

### Import skipped the number

- Use the country code.
- Try **Single Entry** if paste fails.

### You wanted a WhatsApp group

Open [View a WhatsApp Group](/contacts/groups). Do not create a Broadcast List for that.

### You wanted to send the campaign now

Open **Broadcast**, create a campaign, and pick this list as the audience.

## Next

You have a recipient list. Next, find people who already have a WhatsApp label.
