In this tutorial, you will send one Broadcast that uses a saved **Button**, **List**, or **Poll** template.

**Time needed:** 12 minutes

## Before you start

Make sure:

- You are logged in to Wabot.
- The WhatsApp account you will send from shows **Online**.
- You already have a template in **Templates → Buttons**, **Lists**, or **Polls**.
- You have a small test group. Put only your own number in it first.

> Create the template first in [Templates](/features/templates). This page only shows how to send it.

> **Button** and **List** appear on **Official API** when you choose **Regular Message**. **Poll** appears on **Unofficial API**.

## 1. Open Broadcast and click Create

On the left menu, click **Broadcast**, then click **Create**.

Enter a **Broadcast Name**.

**Example:** `Menu Button Test`

## 2. Choose the matching account type

For **Button** or **List**, select **Official API** and one account.

For **Poll**, select **Unofficial API** and the account that is **Online**.

Choose **Contact Groups**, then pick your test group under **Include Groups**.

Click **Continue**.

## 3. Choose the interactive type

If you are on Official API, select **Regular Message**.

Choose **Button**, **List**, or **Poll**.

This walkthrough uses **Button**. **List** uses the same steps.

  <div class="doc-shot-ph-frame" role="img" aria-label="Message type Button">
    <span class="doc-shot-ph-kicker">Screenshot example</span>
    <strong class="doc-shot-ph-title">Message type Button</strong>
    <span class="doc-shot-ph-hint">Clean UI. No real names, emails, or chats.</span>
  </div>
</figure>

## 4. Pick the saved template

Select the template you saved earlier.

Check the preview. Confirm the buttons, list rows, or poll options look right.

If you see **Send Test Message**, send one to your own number first.

**Right:** `60123456789`
**Wrong:** `+60 12-345 6789`

Click **Continue**.

## 5. Send it now

Choose **Send Now**.

Review the account, audience, and template. Click **Launch Broadcast**.

## Make sure it worked

This tutorial worked when:

- The Broadcast appears in the list.
- The status moves to **Sending** or **Completed**.
- The test phone receives the interactive message.
- You can tap a button, open the list, or vote in the poll.

## If it didn’t work

### You cannot see Button, List, or Poll

- **Button** and **List** need **Official API** and **Regular Message**.
- **Poll** needs **Unofficial API**.
- Your role also needs permission for that template type.

### The template list is empty

Go to **Templates**, create one, then return to this step.

### Official API will not send a regular message

**Regular Message** only reaches people in the 24-hour session. Use a [Pre-Approved Template](/features/broadcast/pre-approved-template) if they have not messaged you recently.

### The message did not arrive

Open **Report** and read the error. Check the test number format.

**Right:** `60123456789`
**Wrong:** `+60 12-345 6789`

## Next

The interactive Broadcast is done. Next, target people with a Segmented audience and personalise the text.
