In this tutorial, you will create one WhatsApp click-to-chat link.

**Time needed:** 8 minutes

## Before you start

Make sure:

- You are logged in to Wabot.
- The WhatsApp account for the link shows **Online**.

> **Link Generator** is under **CORE**. The link opens a chat to that number. It does not send a Broadcast.

## 1. Open Link Generator

On the left menu, click **Link Generator**.

## 2. Select the account

Under **Select WhatsApp Account**, pick the number customers should message.

## 3. Write the pre-filled message

Under **Pre-filled Message**, type a short greeting.

> Hi, I want to ask about your products.

## 4. Copy the Generated Link

Find **Generated Link**.

Copy the URL.

Open **Style Options** only if you need a QR code for print. Download the QR after you change the style.

## 5. Test on your phone

Open the link on a phone.

WhatsApp should open to that business number, with your greeting ready to send.

## Make sure it worked

This tutorial worked when:

- **Generated Link** shows a `wa.me` URL.
- The phone test opens WhatsApp with the pre-filled message.
- The chat is to the account you selected.

## If it didn’t work

### Access Restricted

Ask the owner to turn on Link Generator permission.

### The wrong number opens

Select the correct account under **Select WhatsApp Account** again.

### You wanted a short bio link

Copy **Generated Link** first. A shortener is optional and separate.
